We read every message.

If you have a question about something you read here, a correction to flag, or a story you think deserves to be told — we want to hear from you.

Email us at contact@thequietaccount.com

We respond to most messages within a few business days. We are a small operation, so we appreciate your patience.

A note on story submissions

If you or someone you know has experienced financial fraud and you believe the story should be documented, you are welcome to reach out. We handle every submission with discretion. Nothing is published without your knowledge and consent, and we discuss anonymization and privacy with every person whose story we consider covering.

We cannot guarantee that every story submitted will become an episode, but we read them all seriously.

What we cannot help with

We are not a legal resource and cannot give legal or financial advice. If you are currently experiencing financial fraud or elder financial abuse, please contact:

  • Your bank or financial institution — immediately, by phone, using the number on the back of your card or on your official statement
  • The FTC — ReportFraud.ftc.gov
  • Your state attorney general’s office — most states have a dedicated elder financial abuse unit
  • Adult Protective Services — if the person affected is a vulnerable adult, search “[your state] Adult Protective Services”

The Quiet Account is an independent publication. We are not affiliated with any financial institution, government agency, or legal organization.
